Important Notice – COVID-19

Concept Scuba Malta is committed to take care of our guests and associates from the word get go! Our passion is focused on discovering and protecting our oceans through the safe and healthy art of scuba diving but our primary goal is to make sure our guests undertake this adventure safely with us.  This enduring value guides us as we face the difficult challenge of responding to the Corona virus (COVID-19), which the World Health Organization declared a pandemic on Wednesday.

Our hearts and thoughts go out to the people who have been affected by this unprecedented event and we appreciate and support the healthcare workers, Doctors and Nurses, local communities, and governments around the world who are on the front line working to contain this Corona virus. Please know that we are vigilantly monitoring the COVID-19 situation around the clock and have taken sanitising precautions very seriously at our Dive Centre to ensure a healthy stay by our guests. In this climate, we know travel may not be your first thought, but I want you to know the safety of our guests and associates is our top priority. I want to thank you in advance for putting your trust in Concept Scuba Malta as you plan your future scuba diving travels. Below is an update on what we are doing, keeping your safety and patronage our utmost priority.

Given the impact of COVID-19 on how we work, socialize and travel, we have been adapting our cancellation policy over the past several weeks to the evolving nature of this epidemic. Generally speaking, for guests with existing bookings, including reservations with pre-paid deposits and purchasing of PADI e-learning products we will continue to honour these and advise our guests to continue to study at home via the e-learning program till this situation boils over and it is safe to travel to Malta once again.  Our guests may rebook their scuba diving stay with us for a later date for no extra charge, we will honour any deposits paid prior and give such guests a priority booking status plus a couple of free dives thrown in to thank these guests for sticking with us throughout this situation.

Those that are booked to travel to Malta in the next weeks please postpone your flights and accommodation for a later date as by decree of our Government any tourists coming to Malta FROM  ANYWHERE in the world will have to go through a 14 day self imposed quarantine! In other words once you arrive in Malta you will have to stay at your hotel or accommodation for 14 days before you are allowed to walk the streets of our islands! Local Health workers will call upon you and will supervise your stay offering free counselling, medical advice and direction.  This measure has been taken on by our Government to stop the spread of Corona Virus outside our shores.  At the time of writing this statement Malta has only 12 confirmed COVID 19 cases, in fact one of whom has just been declared cured of this virus and sent back home from our hospital quarantine.  This is great news for all of us as we now definitely see the light at the end of this unfortunate tunnel.  We will hopefully see no more new cases and the rest cured in the coming weeks too. This shows us that in line with the declining cases in China we too in Malta will recover over the next few months therefore I urge our guests to please bare with us and plan for a stay in Malta and diving with Concept Scuba Malta later on this summer.

Our doors at the Dive Centre remain open unless our Health Authority imposes further restrictions on businesses, our websites are manned and social media active to help you with your questions as is our What’s App number +356 7765 1601.  We sincerely do look forward to seeing our gusts again later this summer.  Please monitor our websites and social media for further updates and as always special scuba diving offers we have in store for you all.  We will beat this!

Thank you.
Stay safe, have fun and dive deep 😉
Ray
